York is an historic country town located in the Avon Valley 95 kilometres East of Perth.
It's just an hour and a half easy drive from Perth via the great Eastern Highway through the timbered Darling Ranges and the Great Southern highway through the attractive rolling hills of the Wheat-belt.
Surrounded by farmland and located on the Avon River the town is a popular holiday destination and attractions include beautiful country landscapes and restored buildings dating from the 1800's from when the town was a stopover on route to the Goldfields. York was first settled in 1831 and is the oldest inland town in Western Australia.
